About Jenny

Drawing on her communications experience with engineering, safety, and cybersecurity companies, Jenny creates contemporary thrillers and mysteries for teens and adults. Raised in Ohio with Kentucky roots, she and her better half split their time between Pittsburgh and Florida’s Gulf Coast. Jenny was a Rutgers One-on-One mentee, and her work placed in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting and Chesterfield Writer’s Film Project competitions. She’s active in the Florida Gulf Coast Sisters in Crime and the Rt. 19 Writers group in Pittsburgh. Nothing makes her happier than tromping through Myakka State Park in turquoise hiking boots, jotting story ideas in a dog-eared Moleskine.

She's currently looking for literary representation. Hiking boots optional.

I’m very happy to report that my short story, Ruby’s Rodeo Tailors and Western Wear Emporium, was selected for inclusion in the 2024 Bouchercon Anthology, due out in late August. I’ll update when more information is available.

A High-Strung Italian Beauty, YA Novel

Seventeen-year-old cyclist Sam Chase has big plans for a pro career. After a string of wins, his hard work pays off when his dream team asks him to try out over spring break. Before Sam can share his good news with Pap, his biggest fan, he’s floored to learn his grandparents are moving from Pittsburgh to New Mexico. Sam insists on helping 80-year-old Pap drive the moving truck cross country—even though it means cancelling his try out. Modesto Bianchi Weaver has been surrounded by the world of pro cycling since birth. Forced to drive cross country to a Western race with her bike sales rep mom, she wants nothing to do with boys on bikes, until Sam flats on an Oklahoma back road. She changes his tire. He changes her mind. The world of cycling will never be the same.

Safety Girl and the Ring of Fire, A Novel

Junior Safety Inspector Maryanne Danner not only follows the rules, she enforces them with fervor. On assignment to inspect a Utah incineration facility, her by-the-book approach drives plant manager Gus Lightfoot crazy—even after she slips her steel-toed boots under his bed. When the DEA sends a secret drug shipment to the plant for incineration, unexpected visitors arrive, too. To keep Gus and the crew safe she’ll have to do more than bend the rules, she’ll have to blow the rulebook sky high.
